Especially after Bayern trashed Wolfsburg with a whopping 6-0 on Matchday 25. Many previously injured players like Axel Witsel, Mario Gotze and Paco Alcacer are back to training.
Although the squad seems very confident to take on next challenges on the road to a 9th Bundesliga title, the most important component of the squad is Marco Reus. The Much Awaited “Der Klassiker”
Is Borussia Dortmund able to perform the same as the home game against Bayern Munich? Will it be a title-deciding fixture? Will players like Axel Witsel and Mario Gotze be ready for the much-awaited game? These are some of the questions that Borussia Dortmund fans are asking right now. However, no one will be able to answer them until next week. Borussia Dortmund’s defense hasn’t been the best lately, nor has Bayern Munich’s. It’s safe to say that both teams are equal in the midfield area.
On the other hand, and despite what the goal differences indicate, Borussia Dortmund’s attack is deadlier. It took the Bavarians 459 shots to score 68 goals while the Black and Yellows scored 64 goals from a much efficient 359 shots. Therefore, Borussia Dortmund holds 17.8% success rate while Bayern succeeded at taking home 14.8% of their overall shots.
On top of that, Bayern Munich’s scoring efforts rely mainly on Robert Lewandowski while 18 Borussia Dortmund players managed to score at least 1 goal in the Bundesliga this season.
From the 2005 Borussia Dortmund, till the title winning squad in 2011 and UEFA Champions League runner up era, Mostafa was always a very passionate Black and Yellow supporter. You would often see him in Coffee shops and Bars on Matchdays. He will be wearing a BVB jersey and sipping on a German beer and most likely swearing at the referee.
