During his career as a Borussia Dortmund player, Zorc appeared in nearly 600 games scoring a total of 131 goals. Thanks to his performances, he appeared 7 times for the German national team between 1992 and 1993.
The playing style of the One Club Man was very versatile. Being a strongly built player, Zorc was a big asset in the midfield making decisive tackles and challenges. Moreover, his ball distribution skills allowed him to rule the midfield and be a key player during important fixtures.

Apart from his 2 Bundesliga titles and 1 DFB Cup trophy, Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc is a Champions League Winner. In fact, Zorc played the last minutes of the Final against Juventus Turin in the 1996 – 1997 season on the 28th of May 1997.

Michael Zorc’s father, Dieter Zorc, was a professional football player as well. He played for then top-flight VfL Bochum and the West Germany Olympic team.
