Being a hard working young player pays off, at least that’s what the Englishman thinks. Like many talented players before him such as Christian Pulisic and Marco Reus, Jadon Sancho contract in Borussia Dortmund is extended till 2022.
Jadon Sancho Contract till 2022
After showing a great performance so far in just 124 minutes of game time, Jadon Sancho keeps working hard for a more important role in Lucien Favre’s successful strategy. His 5 assists so far in the Bundesliga sit on top of European charts. This helped Borussia Dortmund take the number 1 sport in the Bundesliga table after 6 games. In the meantime, no exceptional effort goes unseen in the German top-tier team. Therefore, Borussia Dortmund grants the talented Englishman a new contract to tie him to the club till 2022.
“Jadon Sancho is definitely one of the most exciting players in Europe,” said Michael Zorc, Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director. “This contract extension is the result of his excellent development.”
Sancho who is still 18 years old, joined Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City in August 2017. He scored his first Bundesliga goal against Bayer Leverkusen in April 2018. Moreover, he came back to BayArena last Saturday to haunt the Leverkusen team again with his exceptional performance.
“I’m very glad I decided to join Dortmund just over a year ago, because everything I’d heard turned out to be true,” Said Sancho. “This city lives and breathes football like no other, and at Borussia Dortmund, young players are given a shot. I can develop brilliantly here. I’m very happy and so proud to be part of this team. It’s fantastic.”
This contract extension proves once again that Jadon Sancho is part of Borussia Dortmund’s long term plans. Him becoming a key part of this Dortmund squad is only a matter of time. In the meantime, we congratulate Jadon Sancho for his new contract and wish him the best of luck.
From the 2005 Borussia Dortmund, till the title winning squad in 2011 and UEFA Champions League runner up era, Mostafa was always a very passionate Black and Yellow supporter. You would often see him in Coffee shops and Bars on Matchdays. He will be wearing a BVB jersey and sipping on a German beer and most likely swearing at the referee.
