Spanish sensation Paco Alcacer leaves Borussia Dortmund for Villareal FC. Borussia Dortmund announced on Thursday the departure of the Spanish sharpshooter. Alcacer, 26 years old, joined the Black and Yellow on loan from FC Barcelona last season. After an impressive start at the Signal Iduna Park, the German giants agreed to a permanent deal with the Catalan club.
Paco Alcacer took the Bundesliga by surprise, netting a total of 19 goals in 32 games. Not only did he score, but he also broke several records, one of which involves scoring more than 10 goals as a substitute in a single Bundesliga season. However, Alcacer faced several injuries that made his stay in Dortmund a very unpleasant one. That didn’t stop the player from scoring 7 goals in 15 competitive games this season. This shows the natural and deadly skill in front of the goal.
It goes without saying that one season and a half at Borussia Dortmund was enough for the fans to worship Paco. Despite the pain, it seems like the best decision for all parties involved and I wish him the best of luck in his football career.
From the 2005 Borussia Dortmund, till the title winning squad in 2011 and UEFA Champions League runner up era, Mostafa was always a very passionate Black and Yellow supporter. You would often see him in Coffee shops and Bars on Matchdays. He will be wearing a BVB jersey and sipping on a German beer and most likely swearing at the referee.
